Sadhanarama Foundation was established and Registered under the Indian Trust Act, 1882.

The extension of the Sadhanarama Bana Vihara, The Monastery, which is 1.6 acres (5 Bhigas), was acquired in the name of the Sadhanarama Foundation to expand the Monastery’s public area. This new public area’s purpose was to provide a peaceful environment to facilitate Dhamma & Meditation teachings, Buddhist events and monastic ceremonies.
The extended land has been used for the propagation of Buddhism and over 20,000 people come to attend each special Buddhist ceremonies. Today, the number is still growing rapidly, and the Sadhanarama Bana Vihara, which once seemed large, often became even too small for many events.

We believe that India will never achieve its true growth story until the Rural India is empowered to make choices and transform their own lives. With this thought and in order to achieve its objectives, Arunachal Bana Bhikkhu Sangha Council initiated Sadhanarama Foundation with a mission to support the activities of the Sadhanarama Bana Vihara and extend a helping hand towards Rural India.
We are striving hard to Find, Create and Execute solutions to the multiple challenges face by the Rural India and working to bring changes across Health & Nutrition, Education, Women Empowerment, Environment and Socio-economic to improve the living conditions.

The Foundation is dedicated for the welfare and happiness of people irrespective of religion, race, color, nationality or sex. Since its very inception, the Foundation has been actively engaged in rendering various humanitarian services. The Foundation has established Bodhi Rasmi School to provide Holistic Education along with character building education and provides Ambulance services benefiting thousands of people.
